We will start filming on December 27 through 29. We are using 3 days to film the scenes that we are both in. This is because we want to have time to record scenes over when we make errors and mistakes. Also, to have enough time to film and go to the different settings for each scene. We have have about five different settings in our short film. We will start filming over Christmas break because it is more convenient for the both of us. Also, we will check the weather app every day of filming to make sure it's not super cold to film.
Costumes are pretty basic but just to clarify the verbal abusive mother will be dressed in all black in the first scene but in the other scenes she will be wearing jean pants and a blouse. The daughter being abused will be wearing baggy clothes like an over sized hoodie and baggy mom jeans. The friend of the daughter will be wearing tights and a regular fitted shirt. The friend's mother will be wearing black pants, a blouse, glasses, and a jacket.

Research Blog: Music Video Conventions

In this music video, we will be portraying a message about how suicide and other harmful things to yourself can be prevented. This stems from people getting bullied, being left out, or physical & emotional abuse. In this circumstance, we will be focusing on someone who is going through a rough patch in their life, and how it ultimately changes for the better. Hip hop music generally focuses on the teen bracket, and most people starting from ages of adolescence to their teen years experience suicidal thoughts and acts of self harm. The use of Mis En Scene plays an important role in these types of music videos, because it portrays the theme of the video, coinciding with its lyrics.  The lyrics display a strong message to the audience and urges a call to action. Personal lyrics are also a great thing to have for the attempts of making a change. It also represents the overall setting and context of the music video. Props and camera shots help add to the narrative of the music...
