Production Blog: Spring Break is Over

So we are back from spring break today and everything is in order. Although, we did not film and we did not communicate over the break. I could have predicted that but in that time I did text one group member Nishayla and she was talking to me about an idea she had about changing a scene by the pond I'm not to sure what is was about I don't really remember. However, if any changes are to be made then everything will be adjusted so everything aligns properly. That is if she decides to bring it up to the group.
We decided to do icebreakers have discussed our grades and how our break was before getting to the hard work.  In doing so, we came to agreement that things over the break cleared up and the break gave us time to organize our lives to get everything in order. Fortunately we now have clear schedules allowing us time to film. Unfortunately though in the last minute I did happen to misplace my camera and I eventually will find it but in the current moment it is nerve-wracking to see that the camera needed to film was suddenly missing. I had not yet informed the girls of what happen because now we were finally getting somewhere on dates.
As we spewed out dates we were busy until we got some dates that we clear for us to record. It took time but we have finally gotten back to working efficiently and getting things done with ease. It took a whole lot of help and patience from one another. Now although we have a park to go to and film I still wanted to make sure that there was a back up plan for weathering purposes. So I called in to see what other parks would allow us to film and shoot everything we need using their park and the tools around it.
The only one that I knew of said they were going to be closed for covid-19 vaccinations. The others were saying they were not open to the public do to covid-19. This did bring my spirits down a little in hopes of finding a better park but it was okay the park we had contained everything we needed. The bucket list that will be brought up in the film caught my interest in the last minute thinking I did. I was concerned that we would need a bucket but I forgot a bucket list doesn't actually require a bucket. Therefore, I thought of a idea to put the titles as they go across the screen onto little red buckets however that required more work for Rohanna and I did not want to spew it out without knowing how much time we would have left for the rest of the film part which is what we actually need.

Genre Research: Romance & Drama

Romance is defined by intimate relationships. In some cases, there may be a twist but at the end the main point in films is about the pursuit of love. Romance is not only its own genre but can also be seen in other genres such as thriller, Comedy, Drama, etc. Common lighting usually seen in romance includes high key lighting in which makes the seen more cheerful due to the brightness and warm colored lighting to create an inviting and mellow mood. A close up shot is an example of camera angles that are seen in films.  It allows the audience to examine the characters face to see their feelings and emotions. Another common camera angle seen in romance films are over the shoulder shots. It captures the face expressions and body language. Common sounds heard in romance movies are usually diegetic and non diegetic. Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. The short film moves on to the next scene. This takes place in Emma's house, which is a friend of hers. They're in Emma's room, discussing Roxy's mother's treatment of her. The entire time they are chatting, this sequence is shot in two shots. Roxy receives a call from her mother, and her eyes begin to water. Emma's mot...
