Short Film Research: ( SUBURBIA / Drama )

So the plot of the film is pretty clear and concise. The film makes it easy to identify what the plot of the story is without having to dig through our brains trying to figure out what to point of the film was.It contains the majority of the typical features of the drama genre. The short film begins with a joyful and gracious tone. Then, a few minutes into the movie, the climax occurs, which involves chases. The climax is crucial in a dramatic picture, and this one was straightforward. A shooting was the unfortunate occurrence. The film does not spare any time in stating the plot. This plot continues for the next several minutes of the movie.

The gunshot noises are loud and clear, but you can't see them. This denotes the use of non-diegetic sound in the picture. There are also a lot of high voices and screaming going on. In dramas, this is a crucial component. One of the dramatic components in our short film will be this. These are also elements that we enjoy seeing in drama films. Throughout the film, the lighting is high key, which effectively portrays the plot and its impact. Then you hear the ambulance sirens and the guy suffers a nervous breakdown since they can't save the woman who was shot. We still don't know where the shots came from or what triggered them, so it's all quite dramatic.

However, as the film approaches its 13-minute conclusion, the visuals come to a halt. The next scene is muted, with only hazy sounds and a blur image. The guy's girlfriend is speaking to him, but we can't hear her. This creates a halt in the action of the short film. It's a dramatic effect that implies something horrible has happened or is happening. Overall, this short film contains elements that we want to include in our short film, making it an ideal film for us to explore.

I could have predicted that but in that time I did text one group member Nishayla and she was talking to me about an idea she had about changing a scene by the pond I'm not to sure what is was about I don't really remember. However, if any changes are to be made then everything will be adjusted so everything aligns properly. That is if she decides to bring it up to the group.       We decided to do icebreakers have discussed our grades and how our break was before getting to the hard work.  In doing so, we came to agreement that things over the break cleared up and the break gave us time to organize our lives to get everything in order. Fortunately we now have clear schedules allowing us time to film. Unfortunately though in the last minute I did happen to misplace my camera and I eventually will find i...
