Short Film Research: (Friday Tigers/ Drama )

The short film is approximately 17 minutes long, and the plot is quite difficult to decipher. The plot of the film is not very apparent or straightforward to the audience. It doesn't begin with any indication of what the plot might be. The scenes just move from day to day, demonstrating the various events that occur on each day. The movie never goes into great detail about why something happens or what the issue is.

It simply depicts the aftermath or consequences of the troubles that have arisen in the woman's life. However, because it is a drama, we were anticipating some sort of confrontation in the short film. There are a lot of sounds in this short clip. At the start of the movie, there is some background music playing. The background soundtrack resembles someone singing while playing an instrument.

The train on the rails makes a noticeable but not excessive amount of noise. Then, little sounds were strengthened, such as typing to text and other minor sounds. The primary characters' outfits are dressed to meet the situation in the scenario, which can be casual attire or different costumes. The performers wear a shirt or blouse with jean slacks and are dressed casually. Realistic lighting is a typical type of light editing.

The hues are vibrant, capturing the grandeur of nature. The lighting then dims as the day progresses and the sun sets later, indicating the passage of time. A drawing format is used to alter some scenery. Those scenes aren't realistic; they depict a piece of paper and a sketch playing out the scene. Then there's the part where the woman is looking for her father's child and says, "You can't keep leaving us like this," which indirectly tells the plot.

Because she is now screaming out her words, which is a vital aspect of the drama genre, the drama begins here. Later, she is discovered kissing another man, and Mike (the father's child) appears out of nowhere and begins battling the other man. Currently, there is a lot of yelling, screaming, and fighting going on. Because it features dramatic activities, it contributes to the drama genre elements. The camera zooms in on this to draw the audience's attention to the drama unfolding in that scene.

Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. The short film moves on to the next scene. This takes place in Emma's house, which is a friend of hers. They're in Emma's room, discussing Roxy's mother's treatment of her. The entire time they are chatting, this sequence is shot in two shots. Roxy receives a call from her mother, and her eyes begin to water. Emma's mot...

Production Blog: Spring Break is Over

So we are back from spring break today and everything is in order. Although, we did not film and we did not communicate over the break. I could have predicted that but in that time I did text one group member Nishayla and she was talking to me about an idea she had about changing a scene by the pond I'm not to sure what is was about I don't really remember. However, if any changes are to be made then everything will be adjusted so everything aligns properly. That is if she decides to bring it up to the group.       We decided to do icebreakers have discussed our grades and how our break was before getting to the hard work.  In doing so, we came to agreement that things over the break cleared up and the break gave us time to organize our lives to get everything in order. Fortunately we now have clear schedules allowing us time to film. Unfortunately though in the last minute I did happen to misplace my camera and I eventually will find i...
