Comparing Le Jetee, the short, and 12 monkeys, the full length movie

Part 1: So from the video we learned the 12 monkeys is supposed to be a remake of Le Jetee. However, nothing could ever be recreated the way Le Jetee was. We believe the elements of mis-en scene camera shots and angles were expressed in le jetee that weren't quite the same in 12 monkeys. The information that We gather from this video included the a dispassionate tone carried in Le jette from the film narrator. It added an accentuation in the audio to the rest of the film and images. The exaggerated audio such as percussion sounds and a pounding heartbeat. These tools created a more dreamlike film with the genre being a sci-fi filled film this plot included a mediation of the passage of time. They did this by using closeup shot to exaggerate images and characters faces and emotions expressed throughout the film helped create the dreamlike idea that was portrayed. It gave an outlook on war times before during and after of a war through the life of a man ( a slave) that could travel through time to save the world and find a solution. This is another science fiction film that was originally in french. We see the takeaway and the focus of the film.

Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. The short film moves on to the next scene. This takes place in Emma's house, which is a friend of hers. They're in Emma's room, discussing Roxy's mother's treatment of her. The entire time they are chatting, this sequence is shot in two shots. Roxy receives a call from her mother, and her eyes begin to water. Emma's mot...

Short Film Research: ( Migrants/ Drama)

This short film was 8 minutes long and the plot was pretty easy to figure out basically there were polar bears being pushed out of their home lands due to global warming and exiled from brown bear territory being left to fend for themselves on the ocean. In the beginning of the short there was a climax point where the baby polar bear fell of the ice and into the water from the ice breaking and the mother jumps after the baby. This was a great way to start the film it immediately introduce the drama factor that a film should have lots of heart racing and anticipating moments. There was a conflict with the polar bears and the brown bears over food and the was another great way to help deliver a message. Although it is animated the film didn't use and real dialogue just animal noises such as grunts and snorts and well as instrumental music in the background.     It reminds me of how lonely many of us are. It can be interpreted as a political manifesto, ...

Production Blog: Spring Break is Over

So we are back from spring break today and everything is in order. Although, we did not film and we did not communicate over the break. I could have predicted that but in that time I did text one group member Nishayla and she was talking to me about an idea she had about changing a scene by the pond I'm not to sure what is was about I don't really remember. However, if any changes are to be made then everything will be adjusted so everything aligns properly. That is if she decides to bring it up to the group.       We decided to do icebreakers have discussed our grades and how our break was before getting to the hard work.  In doing so, we came to agreement that things over the break cleared up and the break gave us time to organize our lives to get everything in order. Fortunately we now have clear schedules allowing us time to film. Unfortunately though in the last minute I did happen to misplace my camera and I eventually will find i...
