Final Task: What it Represents?

The editing process is officially done. We are coming to the end of our journey in this project. We had good times and rough times but we made it through. I never really understood what made us such a great team but I think it makes sense now. We each had our own gifts to bring to the table. We respected one another no matter what.
We never really had any disagreements we took all ideas into consideration. Understanding the difference between constructive criticism and being rude was something we all knew the difference between. An overall just coming together as one to motivate one another to continue working and getting through everything together. Putting together the storyboard was definitely our biggest challenge but with me being able to create a storyline the girls were able to draw everything in as long as I had a story to match everything else. We made location changes, design changes, meeting times also changes and so much more but no matter what understanding the value of patience was the best trait that we all exhibited.
We understood that there was no time to argue or dispute about anything there was always something to do and we had no time to waste. The girls make great partners and thanks to them this opening sequence will be a huge success. The message we wanted to send wasn't just about health but its a message to everyone who knows their time with a loved one is limited not only should you be cherishing every moment with them but don't think of the bad things and create the best memories you can with the shortest amount of time you have. there is never enough time to do thing things you want but you make do and have fun in every possible way.
The other part is the biggest thing we raise awareness to breast cancer more than any other cancer in the world. An this film just wanted to bring to light that not only do the pink ribbons matter but the orange ones as well these ribbons represent film just cancer "an estimated 300,000 new cases of leukima (2.8% of all new cancer cases) are diagnosed each year globally”( Medscape). Understanding that there is more than one kind of cancer and that representation of all cancer is a necessity to understand the health system of our society. Cancer has a mind of its own so enjoy one another for as long as you possibly can it may not last forever.

Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. The short film moves on to the next scene. This takes place in Emma's house, which is a friend of hers. They're in Emma's room, discussing Roxy's mother's treatment of her. The entire time they are chatting, this sequence is shot in two shots. Roxy receives a call from her mother, and her eyes begin to water. Emma's mot...

Short Film Research: ( Migrants/ Drama)

This short film was 8 minutes long and the plot was pretty easy to figure out basically there were polar bears being pushed out of their home lands due to global warming and exiled from brown bear territory being left to fend for themselves on the ocean. In the beginning of the short there was a climax point where the baby polar bear fell of the ice and into the water from the ice breaking and the mother jumps after the baby. This was a great way to start the film it immediately introduce the drama factor that a film should have lots of heart racing and anticipating moments. There was a conflict with the polar bears and the brown bears over food and the was another great way to help deliver a message. Although it is animated the film didn't use and real dialogue just animal noises such as grunts and snorts and well as instrumental music in the background.     It reminds me of how lonely many of us are. It can be interpreted as a political manifesto, ...

Genre Research: Romance & Drama

Romance is defined by intimate relationships. In some cases, there may be a twist but at the end the main point in films is about the pursuit of love. Romance is not only its own genre but can also be seen in other genres such as thriller, Comedy, Drama, etc. Common lighting usually seen in romance includes high key lighting in which makes the seen more cheerful due to the brightness and warm colored lighting to create an inviting and mellow mood. A close up shot is an example of camera angles that are seen in films.  It allows the audience to examine the characters face to see their feelings and emotions. Another common camera angle seen in romance films are over the shoulder shots. It captures the face expressions and body language. Common sounds heard in romance movies are usually diegetic and non diegetic. For example, a musical that has romance incorporated into it includes singing and it helps exaggerate the feelings the characters may have.  Sometimes there may be a sou...
