Filming: Retakes and Mistakes

So in the process of filming we had to adjust the camera a few time because we had problems with the focusing on the takes it took time to get it right. I eventually ended up switching the lenses so we could film properly. Different ideas on how to get our message into the film started to come into mind so I searched around the park an found different things and when things started to come together we had little inconviencs such as when we filmed the hugging scene we were both coming from the same direction at first so I helped alter the scene so we were coming from different ends at different times to show that we crossed paths at the right moment.

I learned the 360 moved from Idline. while getting some great editing tools and skills to use later on from Rohanna while improving on acting with Nishayla as the main characters in the film. Learning to agree and work on things together as a team while coming to an agreement on things to create the best production was a key tool that I feel we were able to establish. After things were discussed there wasn't much left to do so filming took a half a day but we were able to get it all done with a day dedicated specifically to this.

Overall filming was a team effort almost everyone once used to film scenes and everyone was in a scene. No matter how big or small we all participated and I made sure that things went as planned considering I missed a gala that I was supposed to a attend to spend it filming all day with them. however, I enjoyed every moment of it and wouldn't change the day for anything the girls taught me something new in acting filming and editing is was all an amazing experience and I would definitely do this again with proper time management. since during this period i was still trying to catch up on the assignments from other classes as well as missing blogs.

Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. Short Film Research: ( Migrants/ Drama)

This short film was 8 minutes long and the plot was pretty easy to figure out basically there were polar bears being pushed out of their home lands due to global warming and exiled from brown bear territory being left to fend for themselves on the ocean. In the beginning of the short there was a climax point where the baby polar bear fell of the ice and into the water from the ice breaking and the mother jumps after the baby. This was a great way to start the film it immediately introduce the drama factor that a film should have lots of heart racing and anticipating moments. There was a conflict with the polar bears and the brown bears over food and the was another great way to help deliver a message. Although it is animated the film didn't use and real dialogue just animal noises such as grunts and snorts and well as instrumental music in the background. Genre Research: Romance & Drama

Romance is defined by intimate relationships. In some cases, there may be a twist but at the end the main point in films is about the pursuit of love. Romance is not only its own genre but can also be seen in other genres such as thriller, Comedy, Drama, etc. Common lighting usually seen in romance includes high key lighting in which makes the seen more cheerful due to the brightness and warm colored lighting to create an inviting and mellow mood. A close up shot is an example of camera angles that are seen in films. It allows the audience to examine the characters face to see their feelings and emotions. Another common camera angle seen in romance films are over the shoulder shots. It captures the face expressions and body language. Common sounds heard in romance movies are usually diegetic and non diegetic.
