Planning Storyboard for my Music Video

Scene 1: Actor 1 walks up to the court wearing tattered clothes and begins to put on ragged sneakers.

Scene 2: The players appear on the court and notices Actor 1 and begins to live and take pictures. While this is happening on of the players throws the ball at Actor 1.

Scene 3: Actor 1 checks her phone to open Instagram and sees the post of her tattered sneakers with a lot of likes and negative comments. She grabs her gym bag and runs off court to the bathroom.

Scene 4: She’s crying in the bathroom and checks her messages to see her friends bullying her too. She then looks up on the stall door and negative message catches her eye.

Scene 5: Actor 2 is standing somewhere taking pictures/videos for Instagram in clean and nice clothes(they are popular)

Scene 6: After she finishes she looks at her phone sadly as it gets a bunch of likes and positive comments

Scene 7: She begins to walk

Scene 8: She pulls down her sleeve revealing the scars or bruises and sheds a tear looking at them (as she walks)

Scene 9: Actor 1 walks to a bridge, sits down, and is prepared to jump.

Scene 10: Actor 2 walks to the same Bridge ready to jump.

Scene 11: Actor 1 and Actor 2 notices each other at the last second.

Scene 12: They walk towards each other, noticing the pain inside one another and hug. This hug will symbolize their understanding of each other's situations and it will be almost as if they are telling each other that things will improve and they will be fine. Neither of them jumps.

*Each scene will last between 4-6 seconds and music will play over and throughout the video*

Planning: Storyboard "Dear Mother"

A dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship is the subject of our short film. The first shot of the first scene is of the outside of a house, which sets the tone for Roxy and Ms. Jackie's home. The shot then moves on to the interior of the house. Roxy is shouted at by her mother about housework in the next scene, which is more focused on the performers' relationships. There is a close-up of food on the floor, which Roxy must clean up as part of her tasks. This scene shows her and her mother going back and forth. Her mother then goes to the bathroom in the next scene. Roxy receives a phone call from a friend, prompting Roxy to see her pal. The short film moves on to the next scene.This takes place in Emma's house, which is a friend of hers. They're in Emma's room, discussing Roxy's mother's treatment of her. Research: How to Make a Short Film

This educational video gave me a better understanding of how to make our own movies. While viewing, I discovered that there were some topics I already understood, such as when they were discussing film making. However, the "How to Make a Short Film" video provided me with a wealth of new information that will aid me in the production of our short film. This video includes production and post-production advice from a film specialist. One point that stood out to me was when the expert said not to do it if you can't pull it off. Another suggestion is to play with the audience's emotions and minds. The expert emphasizes that it is either all or nothing, and that nothing should be done halfheartedly. This reminds me of the phrase "Go large or go home," which means "Go big or go home." The film expert explanation reminded me of this statement because it indicates it's all or nothing. Filming: Actors #1 & 2

So during the whole filming process after we decided who would be doing what, it was decided that Nishayla and I would be the main characters to deliver the effects of the message implied I filmed a part of the scenes which is when the other two group members Rohanna and Idline played the part of the bully for Nishayla Actor #1. During that scene I wasn’t in the film because I had to film that specific scene while we put to get her the set and scene. My job was to make sure that Nishayla was set in place while Idline and Rohanna waiting for my call to start the scene. I gave ideas on how to show that bullying was taking place and it ended with the idea that the bag was to be gone through as as an invasion of privacy and tossed everywhere were the contents in the bag while leaving actor #1 to pick up her belongings or what remains of them on her own while she sits there sad and lonely.
